Rocket League’s latest update, referred to as Neo Tokyo, is now live. Described as the largest update in the game’s history, it contains more than a few new additions to the popular online game.
The patch introduces two new arenas: the Neo Tokyo arena, which can be played in both casual and ranked playlists, and the Pillars arena that can found in the Rocket Labs. Also included in the update is a new showroom feature that allows players to view premium content DLC, such as the Delorean, before purchasing it.
Other additions included in the update are the option to personalise your Quick Chat with some new callouts and a new trading system where players can opt to trade five common items for a rare item.
Neo Toyko’s launch also puts an end to the second season of Rocket League’s competitive season and marks the beginning of the third. Players who earned prestige during season two will be able to pick up rewards.
Players will soon also be able to race around the field in four new premium DLC cars, two of which are classics from Psyonix Studios previous title, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, the Aftershock and Marauder. Both these cars, plus the Neo Tokyo-inspired vehicles, the Esper and Masamune, will become available on July 18th.
Full patch details can be found on the Rocket League website.
