This year, many have been eagerly anticipating the possibility of our favorite Bandicoot returning. However, the long-awaited Crash comeback may not happen in the way you’d hoped for.
A recent post made on the gaming forum Neogaf suggests Crash’s appearance in the popular toys-to-life series, Skylanders. The image contained in the post shows a listing made by a Singapore retailer site called Qisahn for the Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack. Out of the different options to choose from, “Crash” was listed as one of the editions. Supposedly, by selecting the Crash edition the description would lists it as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
The Crash Bandicoot series originally appeared as a console exclusive for the first PlayStation. Since Activision publishes Skylanders and own the rights to Crash, speculation on the character’s resurgence seems more plausible.
Those wishing to see Crash return in all of his platforming glory may be disappointed by the rumors. However, hope remains on the chance that the character will make an appearance at Sony’s E3 press conference this year.
