Console gamers will finally get a chance to join in on the XCOM 2 perma-death filled action this fall.
XCOM 2 will release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 6, 2K Games announced. The game will be sold in either Standard or Digital Deluxe editions. Standard is priced at $59.99 while the Digital Deluxe Edition is $74.99, which includes The Reinforcement Pack season pass. The season pass will be available separately for $19.99 and is comprised of three DLC packs: Anarchy’s Children, Alien Hunters, and Shen’s Last Gift.
In addition, pre-orders for both versions will include the Resistance Warrior Pack, which contains a new recruit and numerous customization items for soldiers.
Assisting with the port is The Workshop, a company founded by the original members of Treyarch. The Workshop has previously worked on the console versions of The Evil Within and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. They also developed the Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage DLC for Borderlands 2.

The turn-based strategy game was previously launched as a PC exclusive in February. When previously asked about the reasoning behind a solely PC release, the game’s Creative Director, Jake Soloman said, “Our expertise here is PC. That’s our home, and that’s where we’re really comfortable.” However, he also did not rule out the possibility of a console release at the time.
The game will drop on September 6, 2016 in North America and September 9, 2016 internationally.
