Black Ops III Descent DLC: Cryogen is a high-tech prison
The third piece of DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Descent lands on PS4 next week. As fans get ready to shoot their way through the batch of new content, Treyarch took the chance to share a quick glimpse of one of the new maps: Cryogen.“Located far off the coast of the Dead Sea, an isolated compound holds some of the world’s most dangerous criminals in frozen isolation. Sentry towers keep watch over this small map’s circular design, as frenetic combat is funneled around the prison’s cryogenic tubes, offering plenty of opportunities to utilize Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s core movement system to your advantage,” the map’s description reads. The Descent DLC includes 4 maps: Cryogen, Berserk, Rumble, and Empire.

The DLC even introduces a new Zombies map called Gorod Krovi, which translates to City of Blood in Russian. In the Gorod Krovi “the Origins characters are hurled into an alternate, war-torn Stalingrad where Element 115 has wreaked havoc over a battlefield littered with the remnants of a battle between mechanized soldiers and deadly dragons controlled by Group 935.”
Descent is available via the Black Ops III season pass and launches on PS4 July 12. The DLC will come to PC and Xbox One next month.
