Capcom has released a new demo for Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps on PlayStation 4. The demo is available to play this weekend and will run for 48 hours. Players will have access to all of the game’s online modes and maps that are available in the game. They will also be able to play with players who already own the game. The demo began on Friday at 12:00 PDT and will run until 11:59 pm PDT on Saturday July 23.
Capcom has also been working on their newest title, Resident Evil 7. The game was announced at Sony’s E3 press conference this year. Resident Evil 7 will feature a first person perspective, which is new for the series and will be fully playable in PlayStation VR.
The game’s demo has become the most popular single-player demo ever to be released on the PlayStation 4. At this time it has over 2 million downloads since the game’s reveal at Sony’s E3 press conference. The company has stated that even though the demo will not be in the final product, it does present the tone that Resident Evil 7 will convey.
Resident Evil 7 is set to release on January 24th, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will also be playable on PlayStation VR.
