A new video released by developer Firaxis has revealed an interesting change coming to Civilization VI.
If you’ve played any of the past Civilization games, you would recall that typically it takes multiple turns to go by for any of the workers to complete projects or improvements on your huts, farms, etc.
However, in the latest title in the series, these workers have been replaced by builders, who will not complete their projects instantly without having to wait for turn after turn to pass.
But before you get too exited, there’s one small caveat: Each builder has a maximum number of times that they will be able to create a project for you. Builders will be able to used a total of three times before they are removed from the game, causing you to think and choose carefully prior to assigning your builder to what could be their final project.
Civilization VI is set to launch for PC on October 21st, 2016.
“Civilization VI offers new ways to engage with your world: cities now physically expand across the map, active research in technology and culture unlocks new potential, and competing leaders will pursue their own agendas based on their historical traits as you race for one of five ways to achieve victory in the game.”
