It has been confirmed that the trailer for Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima’s latest project, will be in the final game.
At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Kojima confirmed that the scene shown in the trailer for his upcoming game was running in real time, and that “that scene will be in the game.” He also confirmed that the mascot for Kojima Productions, named Ludens, will not appear in the game.
Kojima has assured fans that Death Stranding will be his best work so far. “So far, when I’ve been making games, I’ve had to give up something or at least compromise on something in order to get things done,” Kojima stated. “But this time, working with you (Mike Cerny) and you bringing the state of the art technologies, we will get around that (usual problem)… I’m very confident that we’re working towards something completely new and that no-one has seen so far. This will be my best work so far, I’m very confident about that.”
Death Stranding will be the first game that Kojima has worked on since he left Konami last year. He had been working on the latest entry of the Silent Hill franchise, entitled Silent Hills, with Norman Reedus, who will also appear in Death Stranding.
Death Stranding does not have a release date yet. However, we do know that the game will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
