From July 5 to July 12 you can download the Battlefield Hardline: Betrayal DLC for free on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Origin.
The limited promotion is available as part of EA’s “Road to Battlefield 1” campaign. Over the next few months, EA plans to continue giving away previously released expansion packs for both Battlefield 4 and Hardline.
The expansion comes with four maps: Thin Ice, Chinatown, Cemetery, and Alcatraz. It also adds two vehicles and seven more weapons, including a sword.
Betrayal also includes the Gun Bench feature, which lets players customize weapons and parts such as reticles, colors, and camos. Betrayal was the fourth and last DLC released for Hardline released March of this year.
A community mission involving SMG kills is also available during the game’s free period. “Hit the streets in any Battlefield Hardline multiplayer mode and mode collectively score 17 million total SMG kills to get a Gold Battlepack,” EA said. “This mission is active between July 5, 2016 9AM PT and July 12, 2016 9AM PT.”
The free add-on content is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. More free DLC is expected to be announced in the coming weeks in addition to promotions such as double XP events and more community events.
Battlefield 1 release on October 21, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
