Gearbox has announced that they are releasing three new maps to Battleborn in their next update. Each of the game’s main modes will be receiving a new map.
Before the initial launch of the game, the company outlined their plans for releasing content. These plans include releasing five new heroes (one has already been released) as well as maps, balance updates, and community features, for free, following the game’s launch. There would also be content that players could purchase in the form of skins and taunts.
“When gamers throw down their hard earned cash they want that experience to last. This is why it’s very important to us that we deliver more than $60 worth of content at launch and continue to add more value in the form of free heroes, maps, modes, and other features post-launch,” 2K said at the time.
Recently the game has been included in this week’s 2K humble bundle. As of right now, If you purchase the bundle for $15, you will receive Battleborn, plus The Darkness 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Duke Nukem Forever, Sid Meier’s Civilization V, NBA 2k16, Mafia II Director’s Cut, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
The bundle also includes a starter skin pack and Platinum currency for Battleborn as well as a coupon for 4o% off XCOM 2 and 10% off Humble Monthly for new subscribers. There will be more games added to the bundle as the week goes on.
The free update is now live on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
