The first episode of a new video series promoting Watch Dogs 2, titled “Remote Access” introduces players to the series’ new main character, Marcus Holloway.
While future episodes in the video series will focus on different aspects of the world of Watch Dogs 2, such as the environment and the story, the first episode goes in-depth about Marcus, as well as DedSec and their motivations.
“When you meet Marcus Holloway in the story, he’s a young hacker who is for the first time having a sense of community and family with other hackers,” Watch Dogs 2 scriptwriter Lucien Soulban says in the video.
The video also reveals more information on Marcus’ closest friend in the game, a character named “The Wrench.”
“Wrench is the resident engineer, and also ‘problem solver,'” says Shawn Baichoo, who voices Wrench in the game.
Watch Dogs 2 is set to bring a lot of changes to the series from the first title, beyond just a change of protagonist. Set in the new location of San Francisco, Ubisoft has confirmed the entire game can be played in stealth without killing a single person.
Watch Dogs 2 is set to launch later this year for PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 15th.
