It has been announced that Naruto Online will be releasing in North America next week.
Releasing on July 20th, Naruto Online is a turn-based MMORPG that has players create teams of ninjas in order to fight enemies. As they fight, these characters will form bonds that will allow them to team up and execute combos. The game will offer multiplayer dungeons and huge world bosses for teams to battle. The game promises to have many ways to earn XP, items, equipment, and costumes for characters.
Naruto Online features a story based off of the long-running anime, and follows the first nine story-arcs of the show. Though the game does follow these nine arcs, gamers will play as an original character based on one of five elements: water, fire, lightning, wind, and earth. There appears to be plans to continue adding more story-arcs in the future, expanding the story. The game will also feature the voice actors reprising their roles from the show.
Naruto Online is being published by Chinese publisher Oasis Games, the publisher who brought Koi to the United States this year.
