Remember that Pokémon GO wearable accessory you saw last month you thought you’d never need?
Good luck getting one now, as the Pokémon GO Plus add-on that has a retail price of $35 is now going for over $100 on eBay – and it doesn’t even have a release date yet.
Though it is expected to launch sometime in July, the device is sold out at Amazon, GameStop and other retailers.
Pokémon GO Plus works with your device via Bluetooth in order to help you never miss a Pokémon on your hunt to catch them all. Instead of having to constantly check your device to see what creatures you might encounter, the device will begin to vibrate when a Pokemon is close by when paired with your phone. It also will allow you to collect Poke Balls, berries, eggs and other items at set PokeStop locations without having to look at your phone.
The Pokémon GO Plus device is not necessary to enjoy Pokémon GO, as millions already are doing just fine without it. In fact, enough people have downloaded and played Nintendo’s new mobile game that the company’s stocks soared just days after its initial release. Find out when it’s coming to your country if it hasn’t already.
