Pre-orders are now open for the new Gears of War 4 Xbox One Elite controller.
The controller, which will cost you just around $200, features a crimson, blood aesthetic (a “gritty, battle-weathered design,” according to Microsoft), but also contains many specific elements for the upcoming Gears of War title.
While the controller is similar to the standard Elite Controllers for Xbox One, this one contains a special D-pad featuring small images of the weapons in the game.
Additionally, those who purchase the controller will also receive one unique multiplayer lobby emblem and three Gear Packs for special in-game items.
If you’re not currently in the budget to spend $200 on a controller, you’re not completely out of luck; there are two standard Gears of War 4 controllers coming as well. For $75, you can choose between the “JD Fenix Limited Edition” in blue/gray based on JD Fenix’s armor, or a “Crimson Omen Limited Edition” matching the dark burgundy color of the Elite Controller. Both of these editions of the controllers also come bundled with the multiplayer lobby emblem and three gear packs.
All three controllers will be available in October, but Microsoft is expecting them to sell out fast, so it’s best to get your pre-orders in now.
Gears of War 4 launches for Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 11th.
