2K games has announced that the Australian Boomers will be included in NBA 2K17. The company, along with Basketball Australia, made the announcement during a press release.
The Australian Boomers will be the first non U.S. national team to appear in the series. The team’s lineup includes top Australian players from leagues around the world including Australia, Europe and the NBA.
Patty Mills, a member of the Australian Boomers expressed his happiness over the announcement. “Australian basketball continues to go from strength-to-strength and our players are leaving their mark on leagues around the world. It’s great to see 2K recognizing our nation’s growing impact on the sport with the inclusion of Team Australia.”
This year, Indiana Pacers’ shooting guard Paul George will grace the cover of NBA 2K17’s standard edition, while the Legend Edition will have five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant on the cover.
The Legend Edition will include a limited-edition Kobe Bryant poster, Black Mamba controller skin, three packs of Kobe trading cards, along with other digital goodies.
Players who preorder the game through GameStop will be able to play the game 4 days before the game’s scheduled release date.
NBA 2K17 is set to release on September 20, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
