The classic PlayStation 2 platformer, Ape Escape 2, is now available on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 4.
Instead of a simple port, the PS4 version adds some new features. It includes 1080p up-scaled resolution and Trophy support. It can also support Share Play, Remote Play, Activity Feeds, and Second Screen support for game manuals with the PS Vita or PS App.
Ape Escape 2 is currently available for $9.99 or $7.49 for PlayStation Plus members. The discounted deal lasts for a limited time until August 9th.
For a better look at the improved graphics, PlayStation has posted a gameplay trailer that can be seen below:
Ape Escape 2 originally launched in Japan in 2002 and later made its way to Europe and North America the following year. Since 2005, there hasn’t been a main installment released in the Ape Escape series. However, its characters have made numerous guest appearances in other games such as Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
