Earlier this week the Descent DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops III launched on Xbox One and PC, one month after its release on PlayStation 4.
The DLC contains four new multiplayer maps called Empire, Berserk, Cryogen, and Rumble. Empire is a remake of the fan favorite Black Ops II map Raid, but with a Roman-themed twist. Berserk is a viking village frozen in time. Cryogen is a compound that contains some of the most dangerous criminals. And, Rumble is an arena where giant robots do battle.
Along with the multiplayer maps the DLC includes a new stage for the game’s zombies mode.
“In the latest episode of the zombies experience ‘Gorod Krovi’, the Origins characters are hurled into an alternate, war-torn, Stalingrad where element 115 has wreaked havoc over a battlefield littered with the remnants of a battle between mechanized soldiers and deadly dragons controlled by group 935,” described by the game’s official website.
Descent is currently available to download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $14.99. Black Ops III will receive its last DLC pack, expected to release before the end of the year. According to Treyarch the last expansion will end the long on-going story-line of the series’ Zombies mode.
The next installment in the franchise, Infinite Warfare, is set to launch in November.
