Activision has officially revealed Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s Zombies mode: “Zombies in Spaceland.”
Infinite Warfare’s Zombies in Spaceland is set in the 1980s, and will tell the story of four aspiring actors who come upon a mysterious movie theater for an audition. They have been invited by director Willard Wyler, portrayed by Paul Reubens, who was once a big star in the horror genre. Little do the actors know, they will be transformed into the movie characters onscreen, and will be transported into Wyler’s film to fight against zombies in an ’80s theme park.
Players will take control of one of four ’80s movie-inspired characters: the jock, the nerd, the valley girl, or the rapper. The characters will be voiced by a comedic ensemble cast, including Seth Green, Ike Barinholtz, Jay Pharoah, and Sasheer Zamata. Guiding players through Zombies in Spaceland (and giving them a killer soundtrack) is the Spaceland DJ, portrayed by David Hasselhoff.
To celebrate the reveal of Zombies in Spaceland, gamers can check out the Call of Duty Twitch and YouTube channels on August 17th at 9:00 a.m. Pacific for a special stream that will give more information on the mode, featuring members of Infinity Ward and Jay Pharoah.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released on November 4th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Those who pre-order any version of the game will receive the Zombies in Spaceland Pack, which will include bonus in-game digital items, as well as the classic reimagined Terminal bonus multiplayer map.
