Starfire won with a 43% vote, with the runner up, Constantine managing 32% of the total votes.
Now, as Boon parenthesised, the vote is ‘for fun’, which is to say, not a confirmed addition to the roster for Injustice 2. That said, Boon has pulled a similar stunt earlier in the year where he released this tweet:
Who do you MOST want to see in Injustice 2 ?
— Ed Boon (@noobde) June 8, 2016
The result was the reveal of both Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Furthermore, if you follow Boon long enough, you’ll also be privy to his style of teasing.
Starfire is one of the main headliners for the DC universe. Her history is steeped with inner turmoil with her homeworld and exploration of Earth and its denizens. Her story heavily ties in with the Teen Titans and her on-and-off again relationship with Dick Grayson and more currently Roy Harper.
Injustice 2 is still in development with many more characters to be revealed before its release later on in 2017. The game will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
