Making its return debut with brand new combat mechanics, Warhorse Studios have released a video showcasing various aspects of their game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Provided by 4Gamer, the trailer has a rather tranquil composition played on top of footage of combat, item management and exploration.
Several nifty little feature are shown off in the trailer, such as the loot system which has multiple tabs to segregate what items a corpse has. This allows the game to have a more streamlined looting system that allows players to look for exactly what they want. One other notable inclusion is the cooking system which alludes to a more complex crafting system. Finally, it is shown that the stealth system will not have a UI indicator to show detection, making the ability to stealth kill enemies a much more difficult task than from games like The Elder Scrolls.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a Kickstarter game that managed to raise over a million Euros in pledge amounts, touting itself as a realistic first person medieval sandbox game. The game is available for early access beta for certain backers of the campaign. The game was slated for release at the end of the year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. This has changed however, and it was stated the release date will be pushed back until 2017 in order to “deliver the best possible gaming experience”.
