A new update to Pokemon GO was released late last night, and while update 0.35.0 (on Android) or 1.5.0 (on iOS) doesn’t bring about any major changes, it introduces the new appraisal tool.
This tool puts team leaders Blanche, Candela, and Spark at the forefront as they let you know your Pokemon’s potential attack and defense, helping you to know which creature you should potentially focus on.
This feature is applicable for those looking to strengthen their Pokemon to take on more difficult gyms that may be currently out of their reach.
The full patch notes for the update can be seen below. As listed, the developer promises that more features are coming in the mobile game’s future. Niantic has previously hinted that the team wishes to add trading, more customization, and additional Pokemon to catch in the game, but no timetable for any of these additions has ever been revealed.
- Implemented Pokémon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokémon’s attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokémon have the most potential for battle.
- [They] are still working hard on several new and exciting features to come in the future of Pokémon GO.
