A few weeks ago it was announced that No Man’s Sky will not require PlayStation Plus to play. This could be due to the fact that the game is so large, there is a good chance that gamers will never run into another player throughout their play through, making the game a single-player experience for some. While PlayStation Plus is not required to play the space exploration title, players will need to be connected to the internet in order to register with the universal atlas, which is the shared knowledge pool of the universe.
No Man’s Sky will release for PlayStation 4 in North America on August 9th. The game will then release in Europe on August 10th. The PC version will then release worldwide on August 12th.
