While on its own the fact that Sony will be hosting another annual PlayStation TGS press conference comes as little surprise, it’s notable because it will in fact be the second conference for the company next month.
PlayStation Blog Japan (via EGM) has announced Sony will host its Tokyo Game Show press conference a few days before the event. For those willing to stay up, time differences to the wind, the conference will stream on YouTube starting at 3 AM ET, on the morning of September 13. It will then run for a little over an hour.
Though there is no word on what might be announced during the conference, last year saw the reveal of Gravity Rush 2, Yakuza 6, and King of Fighters XIV among others, as well as new trailers for Uncharted, For Honor, and Dark Souls III.
However, what makes this press conference especially notable is the fact that it will come less than a week after the previously announced New York press event, hosted on September 7. Similar to the event at which Sony premiered the PS4 in 2013, many speculate the so-called ‘PlayStation Meeting’ will mark the official reveal of the PlayStation Neo.
