As if they don’t have enough going on, Bethesda’s VP of PR and marketing Pete Hines revealed that previous tittles Rage and The Evil Within performed well enough sales wise that the company may consider making sequels for them.
Hines recently mentioned the information in an interview with Finder.com.au, but failed to confirm or deny that such games were or were not in the works.
“I can’t talk about the unannounced stuff and what we may or may not do,” he said. “So I won’t confirm or deny stuff we may or may not do, as people jump to the wrong conclusions. But I do think both The Evil Within and Rage did well enough that we could make sequels.”
Despite no confirmation, Hines himself admits that he would love to see such games.
“Personally I loved Rage and had a ton of fun playing it, but we have a lot of stuff in the pipeline right now so you will have to wait and see,” he said.
Rage originally released in 2011 and The Evil Within made its debut in 2014.
Bethesda is currently working hard on upcoming titles they announced at E3, Prey and Quake Champions, not to mention a big release coming in November in the form of Dishonored 2.
