If you thought Pokemon news was going to slow down any time soon, think again.
A new real-life toy will release alongside the new Pokemon games, Sun and Moon, when they launch on November 18th, 2016 in the US and on November 23rd in the UK.
The toy, made by Tomy International, is called “Z-ring,” though you actually will wear it on your arm, identical to one worn by your trainer avatar in each game.
The Z-ring is connected to the new Z-moves that Pokemon can perform in Sun and Moon. Z-moves are incredible large and powerful moves, often filling the entire screen of the Nintendo 3DS. These new types of moves may only be used once per battle, and Pokemon must be holding the same “Z-Crystal” that your avatar in the game is holding.
Connecting to the game itself, the physical Z-ring you’re wearing will light up, vibrate and play sounds simultaneously as the move is happening in the game. No other information about the Z-ring was given, but Tomy reportedly will reveal more information on it soon.
A whole bunch of Sun and Moon news was revealed in a trailer released earlier today, showing off six new Pokemon, as well as new Alola Forms, including examples such as ice versions of Vulpix, Ninetails, Sandshrew and Sandslash.
