It seems that we may be seeing the Red Hood in Injustice 2.
NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon has started a poll on Twitter asking fans for their opinion on “Which Red Hood do you think should be in Injustice 2?” Gamers have two options: Joker and Jason Todd. The Joker was playable in the first Injustice title, and even had a costume based off of his Red Hood persona. Jason Todd, on the other hand, was not playable in the first game. Todd currently holds a strong lead in the poll.

Ed Boon has stated in the past that Injustice 2 will have a more aggressive DLC plan than past NetherRealm titles. “One of the things we’ve been doing, trying to do more and more with every game… is to support it for a longer period of time,” Boon stated. “With DLC characters, we’ve had four with Mortal Kombat, six with Injustice, eight with Mortal Kombat X, and with Injustice 2 we plan on continuing that pattern. It will certainly be more aggressive than we’ve been in the past.”
A number of characters have already been announced for the upcoming fighter. A variety of characters will be returning from the first Injustice, including Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. New characters include Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd, Blue Beetle, and Atrocitus.
Injustice 2 is scheduled for a 2017 release. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
