Ubisoft has announced a more immersive way to experience South Park: The Fractured But Whole with the Nosulus Rift, a VR headset that delivers fart smells directly to your nose.
Its reveal trailer explains that the device went through rigorous testing methods in order to capture a realistic, genuine fart smelling experience.
Some of the individuals involved in the process include design consultant Nakata Tuobashi, fragrance consultant Jurgen Bischoff, and senior producer of the Fractured But Whole Jason Schroeder.
Persistent on running with what is assumed to be a joke, Ubisoft has gone further than the development video with the device’s own website and promising that it will appear at Gamescom. According to the website, attendees of the event, in Cologne, Germany, can experience the Nosulus Rift from August 17-21 at Ubisoft’s stand.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole will launch December 6th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Along with the newly announced tech, the game features a number of special edition bundles, previously announced.
The Fractured But Whole is the follow-up to 2014’s Stick of Truth. In both games players assume the role as the new kid in South Park, who has an innate farting ability prowess.
