Warner Bros. has announced a new release date for their remastered Batman: Return to Arkham collection.
Return to Arkham will now be available on October 21, 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The collection was originally supposed to be released in July, but was ultimately delayed to give the studio more time.
“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuos Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience.” WB staff forum member Steve Grayson wrote earlier this summer. “We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”
Batman: Return to Arkham contains Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City with improved graphics, lightning, and environments through use of Unreal Engine 4. The collection will not feature Batman: Arkham Origins or the series’ latest installment, Batman: Arkham Knight.
A new trailer for the collection puts each remastered game side-by-side with its original version.
