Destiny players will be able to buy experience boosters in the title’s upcoming Rise of Iron expansion using silver, the in-game currency that can only be obtained by purchasing with real world money.
The boosters grant increased rates of experience gained for Crucible, House of Judgment, and Vanguard. The boosters can also be obtained as a random drop from Sterling Treasure Boxes or Radiant Treasures, which can be earned through playing in-game or buying with silver.
There are also several new emotes being introduced in Destiny’s next expansion, including a number of new dances.
Bungie has released a patch in preparation for Destiny’s upcoming expansion. The patch brings with it weapon changes, a number of weapon perks, exotic weapons, new quests, new maps, and UI updates.
It has been announced that Rise of Iron will not be receiving a PlayStation 4 Pro patch. During an interview, Bungie answered questions about PS4 Pro support, responding with: “No, not for Rise of Iron. We’re all done. As far as the future… We have nothing to announce today, but we’ll certainly be looking at it.”
Destiny: Rise of Iron will release on September 20th, for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The expansion will not be coming to last-gen consoles.
