The Division receives another delay, this time for the PTS
In an effort to shore up the game following consistent technical and gameplay balance problems, Ubisoft recently delayed the future DLC for The Division. Unfortunately, now the large patch meant to fix many of the games issues appears to also have been delayed. Or at least the testing for it has.Last week, Massive announced the team would be launching a Public Test Server (PTS) for players to test out the upcoming Update 1.4. Originally meant to go live this Thursday, September 15, the PTS has now been delayed. “After playing the build with our Elite Task Force it became clear that to have the PTS process be valuable for us in terms of feedback, we would need some more time to include key elements that are critical to the overall Update 1.4 experience,” Massive writes in a post on the game’s forums.

Last week, Massive announced the team would be launching a Public Test Server (PTS) for players to test out the upcoming Update 1.4.
“Transparency is something that we know our community wants, and something that we aim to deliver every day. In this instance, it does mean that we need to share our schedule and intentions that are subject to shifting throughout the process.
“The alternative of ‘leaving you in the dark’ is not something we see as an option! We’re very eager to get this update out to all Agents while bringing you into the development process as much as we can and as soon as we have more information, we’ll let you know.”
Likewise, the Special Report livestream scheduled for tomorrow and meant to show off Update 1.4 has also been canceled.
Update 1.4 will look at every aspect of the game, tweaking the experience wherever Massive feels The Division has moved away from the developer’s original goals for the game. This includes changes to everything from how long it takes to kill higher level enemies to how the loot system works and how players are rewarded for different activities.
Ubisoft and Massive give no word as to when we might see the PTS, let alone Update 1.4.
