EA Access and Origin Access subscribers will not get an early trial of Titanfall 2.
Developer Respawn confirmed to Gamereactor that the sequel will not be available on either subscription service, meaning those players will not get early access, a free trial period, or discounts on its launch day, October 28.
They added that while it may be added sometime in the future, it likely will not happen this year.
Additionally, the FAQ section of the EA Access website does list Titanfall 2 as an exclusion for the program.
EA Access and Origin Access are subscription programs on Xbox One and PC respectively that offer players a vault of games to play, special discounts on EA titles, and the chance to play EA games before they are released.
Respawn hosted a tech test for Titanfall 2 during the last two weekends in August and is reportedly listening to fan feedback to make changes to the title before its release date.
“Over this past weekend, we’ve heard a lot of passionate feedback from Titanfall fans,” the developer wrote. “Even though the Tech Test build is a couple months old, we learned some valuable things based on your feedback. Some of these changes have already been addressed and will be updated for weekend two of the tech test, with other changes making it into the final game.”
