Metro dev hints at possible sci-fi game
Developer of the Metro series, 4A Games, teased its next project with images released on social media. Two different photos were posted on Facebook and Twitter showing off close-up shots of hands. One of the hands appears to be gripping a weapon, while the other one has what looks to be like a holographic display hovering around it. The captions for the images read: "What are we making, well here is a hand to work it out," and "So there have been a lot of discussions and thoughts on what we are doing. So I was told to give you guys a hand."

Not a lot of information can be pulled from the rather vague photos, however, some have speculated that the game will have a sci-fi theme.

4A’s most recently released projects were remasters of previous Metro games on current-generation consoles and PC. Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux were released in 2014.
In an interview with Eurogamer in 2014, Chief Technical Officer Oles Shishkovstov revealed that one of their studio’s future projects will be a sandbox game. “For the game we are working on now, our designers have shifted to a more sand-box-style experience – less linear but still hugely story-driven,” Shishkovstov said.
