A new patch for Madden NFL 17 was released this week by EA that will fix some major problems you may have been encountering in the game.
The patch is also expected to address one game breaking bug that clued the defense in on whether the offense was planning to run or pass the ball.
The details for update 17.0.3 were revealed via Twitter with the following fixes:
- Fixed a bug which telegraphed if an opponent was going to run or pass.
- Strip tackle attempts made by the CPU are now reduced.
- Fixed a bug which prematurely showed incoming rookie ratings in offline franchise.
The game’s designer, Clint Oldenburg, revealed a few more additions from the patch on Twitter.
“Also in the patch – Force defenders not dropping back vs. run when in zone coverage; Play Action desync; Fumble frequency in MUT solos,” he wrote. “Acquisitions Screen in Franchise no longer an issue, White on White jerseys in online H2H & Blockers occasionally not blocking in hurry-up.”
Finally, a few more details were added by the game’s creative director, Rex Dickson.
“In Patch: No passing icons on PA, Force defender tuning, nano detection system tuning, users not getting stamina penalty when meter depleted,” he wrote.
Madden NFL 17 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
