Sony is holding its highly-anticipated PlayStation Meeting Wednesday, September 7 at 3:00 p.m. EST at the PlayStation Theater in New York. The event is only open to members of the press; however, fans can watch a live stream at live.playstation.com. Depending on your preference, the stream can also be viewed on PlayStation’s Twitch channel or their Youtube channel.
Many expect the announcement of the PlayStation Neo to occur during the event. The Neo is an improved version of the PS4, expected to support 4K resolution and other improved qualities. Also, a slim version of the PS4 is all but certain to appear at the event. In recent weeks, rumors and videos of the supposed sleeker console model have surfaced online.
The PlayStation Meeting will last around an hour; it isn’t known whether or not Sony will use this time to solely discuss the Neo and slim or other matters. Although it was shown during this year’s E3, one could expect PlayStation VR to appear in some form with its Oct. 13 release date quickly approaching. Also, since Sony is specifically holding its own event, the announcement of all-new exclusive titles may be a possibility.
The company also encourages fans to stick around after the show for a presentation of a special PlayStation LiveCast episode. Stay tuned for our coverage of the event tomorrow.
