It has been announced that Titanfall 2 has officially gone gold.
Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella revealed on Twitter that Titanfall 2 has gone gold, meaning that there should be no delays at this point. For those who do not know, going “gold” means that development of the title is complete, and the game has been sent off to be printed ahead of release.
Congrats to the #Titanfall2 team on going GOLD!

It was announced last month that Titanfall 2 will feature a fan-favorite map from the first game in the series. Angel City will be the first DLC map for the upcoming shooter, and will be available for free. However, those who pre-order the upcoming title will be able to play the map three days early. There is no word on when gamers can expect the map to release.
It was also announced earlier this month that Titanfall 2 will not be a part of either the EA or Origin Access programs. Respawn confirmed that the title will not be available on the subscription services, meaning subscribers will not get early access, a free trial period, or discounts when the game launches. Respawn added that the game may be added in the future, but will likely not happen this year.
Titanfall 2 will release on October 28th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
