Activision has not confirmed the exact size of the package, but if Modern Warfare Remastered requires almost 40GB, then that would leave Infinite Warfare with the remaining 90GB. Possible contributions to the large file size can include PlayStation 4 Pro support for higher fidelity of graphics or the inclusion of the six multiplayer maps coming to Modern Warfare Remastered at a later date. Last year’s Call of Duty entry, Black Ops III, required at least 60GB of hard drive space.
The high file size may be the new standard as Gears of War 4, releasing this week, needs at least 80GB of space. Those with 500GB hard drives may feel the squeeze when one package takes up a fifth of the space, but it is also important to note the Xbox One supports external hard drives and the internal PlayStation 4 hard drive can be easily swapped with a larger one.
