Back in the day, the only thing a video game actor needed to worry about was his or her grunts and how to make one hundred death sounds. Today, that is not the case. From reading important lines, to motion capture, there is a lot more work to be put into game acting in this generation. When it comes to putting the cast together for the latest Call of Duty, Activision pulled all the strings.
To truly tell an epic story, you have to have the right people to convince the audience of how real it is. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has certainly put together a huge amount of talent to portray their leading characters. They’ve borrowed two great actors from SNL with Sasheer Zamata and Jay Pharoah. Also on the comedic side is long time voice actor Seth Green, known as Chris from Family Guy and numerous roles for his own show, Robot Chicken.
On a more serious side are acting veterans David Hasselhoff and the RoboCop himself, Peter Weller. To bring some more action packed heroes on board, there is the MMA fighter Conor McGregor. He brings fear just from the sound of his voice. The more heroic sounds will come from Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow, Kit Harington. There are plenty more great actors on board, so we can see Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is heading in the right direction in this aspect.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 4th.
