When a game with as much anticipation as Gears of War 4 is set to arrive, not only does every day count, but also every hour and every minute. With this, Microsoft and the Coalition have done as much as possible to take advantage of the hype and to give players all they need to be ready when Marcus, his son, and the rest of the COG get into a brand new fight.
As we saw last week, Gears of War 4 is available to preload now. This allows for players to have the game already loaded, so they are not sitting on their couch staring at the loading bar slowly fill for a long time. In addition to this, Microsoft has revealed when exactly the new 3rd person shooter will be unlocked and ready for action.
For those who purchased the Ultimate Edition, Gears of War 4 will unlock on October 6th (holy cow that’s today!) at 9:00 pm PT or 12:00 am ET. Those who have the standard edition will see the game unlocked on Monday, October 10th. Once again, this will be 9:00 pm PT or 12:00 am ET.
