It seems Halloween will be coming to Gears of War 4.
On the official Gears of War Twitter feed, a tweet was released featuring an image of a snarling carved pumpkin with the message, “Halloween approaches.” The tweet did not mention when the event will begin, but it is likely that it will start this weekend, so stay tuned for updates.
Gears of War 3 started the tradition of Halloween events. In these events, multiplayer participants would don jack-o’-lantern heads on the battlefield. It seems that Gears of War 4 will be following that tradition. Players may also receive other bonuses, such as increased XP, during the event.

The Coalition has been making some changes to the Horde Mode in Gears of War 4. In a recent post on the game’s official forums, Community Director Adam Fletcher wrote about the changes that the team has made to the game mode. The recent update has increased the rate at which players earn in-game credits across all difficulties. The update also increased the rate at which classes earn experience as well. The changes made in the update will affect both Private and Online matches.
Gears of War 4 is available on the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
