A massive new patch has released for Mortal Kombat XL, bringing with it a huge number of character balances.
The new patch makes a number of general gameplay fixes, such as move list corrections and increased energy costs. However, a bulk of the update includes character specific fixes for the game’s roster. The changes range from frame adjustments to changes in the amount of damage some actions cause. You can read the lengthy patch notes for Mortal Kombat XL’s latest update here.
Mortal Kombat XL includes the base game and both of the Kombat Packs. The XL version released earlier this year. WB Games has stated that the XL Pack was for those who did not own Mortal Kombat X already, and wanted to jump in with all of the latest content. The Kombat packs both included four DLC characters. The first Kombat Pack included Predator, Jason Voorhees, Tanya, and Tremor. The second Kombat Pack introduced Leatherface, the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise, Bo’ Rai Cho, and Triborg. The XL Pack also includes series veteran Goro, who was originally released as a pre-order bonus for the game when it released last year.
Mortal Kombat XL is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
