Although the Switch’s unveiling confirmed many leaks and rumors, there is still a lot to learn about the newly announced console. However, it seems as though Nintendo’s approach in building up excitement for the hardware will be held off until closer to launch.
In other Nintendo Switch-related news, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has not been confirmed as an official title on the console, despite gameplay featured in its reveal trailer.
Famitsu, a Japanese video game publication, also revealed that the Switch will not be backward compatible with 3DS cartridges or Wii U discs.
The Nintendo Switch will release March 2017. Previously code-named NX, the Switch is a powerful handheld, console hybrid that utilizes a custom Nvidia Tegra processor. Dozens of publishers have already publicly announced their support of the Switch.
