Rise of the Tomb Raider gets PlayStation 4 improvements
Rise of the Tomb Raider has received an update to fix its issue with input lag on the PS4 version. The problem which also affects the original Xbox One release sees a numbing delay between pressing "fire" and your character actually carrying out the task.Developer Nixxes, who are responsible for porting the PC, Xbox 360 and PS4 versions of the game, has worked on update 1.04 to eliminate the issue. This brings the PS4 version up to the standards set in the PC and Xbox 360 iterations of the game. Eurogamer reported that while a few players ran in to error code CE-34878-0 (an issue with the games networking function) the patch seems to be working well and makes for a much smoother and more enjoyable experience.

The update also sees the game become ready for the PS4 Pro. A number of games have already been given upscaling and HDR support, including PES 2017 and Uncharted 4. The 1.04 patch brings “improvements to 4K image quality and frame-rate,” meaning that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be fit for the launch of the new Sony console on November 10th.
People who have been holding off on Lara Croft’s most recent adventure for fear of not being able to execute a smooth headshot with the games wide selection of weaponary, can now feel free to dive in. Xbox One owners have not been so blessed, as the problem still awaits a fix for their console.
