Even though The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was in the reveal trailer for Nintendo’s Switch, Bethesda has announced that the game has not yet been confirmed for the upcoming system.
Speaking to gamesindustry.biz, Bethesda stated that they have not officially confirmed the game just yet. They stated: “We’re happy to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Nintendo on the video. While we are not confirming any specific titles at this time, we are pleased to announce our partnership with Nintendo and support of the Switch. Aside from Skyrim, a number of games were confirmed for the Switch in its reveal trailer. One of the first games that we knew was coming to the system was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Though we knew the game was coming, it was once again showcased in the console’s trailer. We also saw both a Mario Kart and Splatoon title in the trailer, suggesting that those games are either being ported over from the Wii U, or will be new entries. We also saw NBA 2K17, and a brand new Mario title, though there is no new information on that title beyond the few seconds that were shown in the trailer.
The Nintendo Switch will release in March 2017.
