Back in 2014, a new open-world, third-person shooter was released, and it drummed up highly favorable reviews. Sunset Overdrive advocated itself as a wacky, vibrant adventure, through a distressing world full of mutants. The company behind Sunset Overdrive, Insomniac Games responded to a tweet suggesting a possible PC version for the successful game. Unfortunately, while the team wants to bring the game to PC, it is ultimately up to Xbox.
@Heldengeist @MegapiemanPHD @Xbox @XboxP3 we'd love for it to come to PC, though it's up to Xbox on that one.

Released on the Xbox One, Sunset Overdrive followed the story of a user-generated ‘FizzCo’ employee, who has to clean up the town after a massive city-wide company party. As the player travels across town, cleaning up the massive amounts of FizzCo energy drinks, the player will come across mutants known as ‘OD’ or Overcharged Drinkers who have devolved from humanity as mindless creatures. The main draw for the game is the style-system which gives players points for stylish takedowns.
Since Sunset Overdrive, Insomniac Games has worked on the re-imagined Ratchet & Clank game and Song of the Deep earlier this year. The team are currently working on the upcoming PlayStation 4 Spider-Man game which does not have more information on, including a release date. With the team’s attention on the upcoming game, it’s understandable if that plays a factor in putting a PC release on the backburner.
