The sixth expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic, Knights of the Eternal Throne continues the story of the last expansion, Knights of the Fallen Empire. As the Outlander, having woken up after years in cryostasis to find the galaxy under new management, you are still stuck in the middle of an epic struggle against Emperor Valkorion. Knights of the Eternal Throne releases December 2 and will be free for all Premium Members.
“Command a team of hand-picked allies as you face one of the most dangerous families in Star Wars. Mother against daughter. Sister against brother. It’s a fight for control of the throne. You decide who will live, who will die and who will rule the galaxy. Fight to influence the galaxy for the light or dark side of the Force,” BioWare teases on the game’s website.
The cinematic trailer focuses on Vaylin, the daughter of Valkorion and the sister of Fallen Empire’s Arcann and Thexan. We even get to see some especially spectacular fighting skills from her mother, Senya.
Eternal Throne will be broken into nine chapters, encompassing a single story that covers five more levels (bringing the new level cap to 70) and two new planets.
The new Galactic Command system will give players the chance to wage a large scale war, and even engage in new endgame combat activities called Uprisings. For the first time, the story missions will also have different difficulty settings, allowing players to choose between Story, Veteran, or Master modes.
Those that subscribe to Star Wars: The Old Republic before November 27 will receive a Rapid Recon Walker mount. Those that subscribe before October 25 will receive an additional companion, a mercenary bounty hunter named Shae Vizla, and 3-day early access to the expansion if they stay subscribed through November 27.
