Blizzard has announced that Overwatch will be available to players for free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC from Nov. 18-21. Players participating in the free weekend can enjoy the full roster of 22 heroes and 13 maps available.
In addition, a variety modes can be accessed, including Quick Play, custom games and the most recent Weekly Brawl. Players can also level up, earn Loot Boxes and unlock additional customization options, which can be carried over to the full game when purchased.
Prerequisites to play include a PlayStation Plus membership for PS4 owners, Xbox Live Gold for Xbox One and a Battle.net account for PC. The exact deployment date of the event starts Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. PT and ends Nov. 21 at 4:00 p.m. PT. Be sure to have adequate amount of storage on your device, because the the approximate download size of the free weekend client is 12GBs. In other related news, the long-awaited annoucment of the game’s newest hero Sombra was made during this year’s Blizzcon, alongside a new cinematic trailer. Also, a global eSports league was also recently unveiled called Overwatch League.
