Pokemon Go developers working on a successful future

Over the past few months, the people of Niantic have been working tirelessly to make Pokemon Go the game the fans deserve and they plan to keep this up for awhile. In an interview with Eurogamer,  Niantic's Chief Marketing Officer Mike Quigley spoke about how he sees the future of Pokemon Go. "I think our lifespan and curve may be quite different from a free-to-play mobile game." he stated. "It may be more in a Warcraft vein just because of the type of game we are. It's not about taking a bunch of money off the table and going. Monetisation has never been the focus for us. It's about doing right by the brand and doing right by the fans."

Everyone in the world, whether you’re a gamer or not, has heard about the crazy success of Pokemon Go when it was released. While that success has sustained for the most part, it has not been without some issues. Servers were constantly going down. There were new bugs found all the time. Over the past few months, the people of Niantic have been working tirelessly to make Pokemon Go the game the fans deserve and they plan to keep this up for awhile.

In an interview with Eurogamer,  Niantic’s Chief Marketing Officer Mike Quigley spoke about how he sees the future of Pokemon Go. “I think our lifespan and curve may be quite different from a free-to-play mobile game.” he stated. “It may be more in a Warcraft vein just because of the type of game we are. It’s not about taking a bunch of money off the table and going. Monetisation has never been the focus for us. It’s about doing right by the brand and doing right by the fans.”

If you’re a Pokemon fan, this is exactly what you want to hear from the developer of the popular mobile app. “And there are things coming in the next several weeks,” he continued. “I think if you look back on this conversation on December 31st, or the 1st of January, what I’ve said will be validated. But even that stuff is still the tip of the iceberg. There’s a long road to go.”

We can’t wait to see what is coming up ahead for Pokemon Go.
