Earlier this month an upcoming map for Rainbow Six Siege was revealed. Entitled “Skyscrapers,” the map is based on traditional Japanese pagoda mansions placed in the middle of some high rise skyscraper buildings in Nagoya, Japan. Art director Gregory Fromenteau spoke about the map’s design: “We played with various opposites while designing this map. For instance we mixed beauty with bloodshed, serenity with vertigo, and art with destruction. The goal was to trigger a sense of vertigo, no matter where you stood in the map.” As far as the game’s plot goes, Skyscrapers is being introduced as a location which the squad must infiltrate in order to neutralize the Yakuza organization.
Rainbow Six Siege is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
