Feral Interactive has announced that Rome: Total War will be heading to iPad later this week. Creative Assembly’s popular real time strategy game will come full optimized for the device and takes full advantage of the iPad’s touch-screen interface to replicate keyboard and mouse controls. The RTS title comes to iPad November 10.
The game has also been updated graphically to bring the series to life on the device. Rome: Total War takes full advantage of the iPad’s high definition screen and allows the massive armies that players can control to shine to their fullest potential on the mobile platform thanks to the multitude of graphical changes made to the game.
Along with the trailer above, screenshots of the game running on the iPad can be found on Feral Interactive’s official page for the game. The official page also gives us more information on what we can expect from the mobile version of the game. The insert reads, “Rome: Total War for iPad comes without compromise. Turn your tablet’s screen into an exhilarating 3D battlefield alive with thousands of units, from tight formations of swordsmen to sweeping lines of chariots.”
Rome: Total War will be available on first all first generation iPad Airs, iPad mini 2, or iPad Pro or newer. The game will only require 4 GB of free space to install and will cost $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99.
