The second expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division will release tomorrow.
The Division’s second expansion, entitled Survival, will release tomorrow for PC and Xbox One. The expansion will then make its way to the PlayStation 4 on December 20th. The expansion is a part of the game’s Season Pass, but can be purchased separately.
The expansion brings along with it a new game mode. Survival is a mode that offers a hardcore experience with survival mechanics and permadeath. The mode will host 24 players, and takes place in a modified version of Manhattan. Survival is session based, with games lasting up to 2 hours.
In Survival, players will be able to able to enable either PvP or PvE. In PvP, while the Rogue mechanic will not apply, players will be able to fight against each other, or cooperate. While PvP will come with additional risks, it will also come with additional rewards, in the form of a bonus multiplier to the score. In PvE, players will be able to cooperate with one another, with PvP being disabled, even in the Dark Zone.
Along with Survival, Update 1.5 will also be released. Update 1.5 will be free for all players. The update will include a new world tier, six new Named gear pieces, three Named weapons, and 12 new weapon types.
The Division is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Survival will release on PC and Xbox One on November 22nd. The expansion will then come to the PlayStation 4 on December 20th.
