After the announcement of December’s free Games with Gold, Microsoft also revealed three new Xbox 360 games that are now backward compatible on Xbox One. Like usual, Xbox’s Major Nelson made the announcement on his Twitter page.
The new backward compatible games are Burnout Paradise, Rayman Legends, and Pure. The backward compatibility for these games is functional now, so if you own any of the three digitally then you will able to download a copy of it in your game library on your Xbox One (except for Pure, which is not available for purchase digitally). If you have a physical copy of the game then you can also play using the disc.
The digital version of Burnout Paradise is $14.99 on the Xbox Store, but you should probably hold off on purchasing it as it will be free starting on December 16th as a part of Games with Gold. The digital version of Rayman Legends is $39.99 on the Xbox Store. Since Pure has no digital version for purchase, you’ll have to track down a physical copy of it if you want to play it on your Xbox One. Only a handful of backward compatible games have no digital option and require a disc, including the recently added Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.
The full list of compatible games can be found on Major Nelson’s website.
